Join EEAI and the U of I Extension Office in Sparta to grow your skills in building youth-adult partnerships that enact change with the Earth Force process. This workshop will provide educators with a full overview of how to guide students through the 6-step Earth Force process. The process helps youth identify and address environmental issues that are important to them and their community with the support of their adult educators. This training is appropriate for formal and non-formal educators and we'll show examples of how groups can work in both settings.

In this training, educators will learn to:

• Immerse students in authentic learning that inspires them with a love of the environment (or of their community) and empowers them to act
• Incorporate youth voice while still meeting your academic standards
• Guide your students as they learn how scientific investigation informs community decision making
• Incorporate tools that allow project-based learning to become authentic civic ACTION

This training includes lunch and all educators that attend the full day training are eligible to apply for a $100 stipend from EEAI for their participation. Trained educators will also be able to apply for funds to help support the implementation of student projects. Join us a learn more about this incredible program.
