Join EEAI at the Illinois Waterway Visitors Center for a Project WILD Training focused on Regional Natural History and Environmental Literacy!
Project WILD is a wildlife education program and is designed to help educators and other youth leaders teach about wildlife and the environment through stimulating, hands-on instructional activities for ages K-12. At this workshop, you will participate in WILD activities and learn how to use them with students. All participants will receive a Project WILD activity guide.
This workshop will include two sessions as follows:
Morning Session: Arrive at 8:45 to get registered. Then from 9-11:30 we'll explore the Project WILD actvity guide and learn how WILD activities can support learning about regional natural history and improve environmental literacy.
Afternoon Session: From 12-4:30 enjoy a brown bag networking lunch with other environmental educators as well as a curated roundtable discussion. Then we'll end the day with an optional guided hike at Starved Rock State Park.
