This FREE 60-minute interactive workshop is designed for K–12 educators, formal and non-formal, who want to bring relevant, accessible climate education into their classrooms and other education spaces. Participants will explore free, teacher approved and scientist vetted teaching resources from SubjectToClimate, including lesson plans, student-friendly articles, activities, videos, and more.

The session will highlight SubjectToClimate’s Illinois Climate Education Hub which features curated, place-based materials that connect climate science to issues in the local communities. 

Attendees will walk away with:

  • Ready-to-use, standards-aligned teaching materials

  • Practical strategies for integrating climate change topics across subjects

  • Increased confidence in navigating climate conversations with students

  • New connections to a regional network of educators and organizations supporting climate literacy
